Seungwon Kim is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Pathology at Johns Hopkins University. His work focuses on understanding the evolutionary dynamics of human infectious diseases, such as influenza, malaria, and HIV, and identifying the role of human-environmental factors driving the evolution and transmission of human pathogens in space and time. Seungwon earned his PhD in Medical Geography and an MS in Biostatistics from the University of Iowa.
