Patrick Musole Bugeme

Patrick is a research officer at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He obtained his medical degree in 2021 and  his B.S. in Biomedical sciences in 2016 from the Université Catholique de Bukavu (UCB). During his medical training at the UCB, Patrick oversaw a scientific research group for students and played a key role in the design and conduct of student-led research projects. Within the IDD, Dr Bugeme currently works as a research data coordinator of a research project aiming to assess the impact of mass oral cholera vaccination campaigns on cholera incidence and transmission dynamics in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He also works as a volunteer physician in the department of pediatrics at the Uvira General Referral Hospital in Eastern DRC. His interests include vaccine preventable diseases, vaccine hesitancy, healthcare seeking behavior and global heath.
