Michael Martin is a post-doctoral research fellow in Dr. M. Kate Grabowski's group in the Department of Pathology. He is interested in using pathogen sequence data to understand evolution within, between, and among hosts. Currently he is studying the evolution of HIV SPVL and its implications for epidemiology. Prior to joining IDD Michael completed a Master of Science in Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a PhD in Population Biology, Ecology, and Evolution in Dr. Katia Koelle's group at Emory University.
