Clif is a Research Associate in the Department of Epidemiology. He is interested in using statistical modeling and phylogenetics to investigate pathogen persistence in animal reservoirs and ecological drivers of pathogen spillover. His research in the ID Dynamics group focuses on the ecological factors that affect viral transmission and spillover between bats and humans in Bangladesh. Clif completed his PhD in Ecology at Colorado State University in 2020, where he studied the infection dynamics and evolution of bacterial infections in bats and their vectors.
